Mystery Class
Mystery Class RXvp6iF
Mystery Class dragons have little known about them due to how stealthy and sneaky they are. All dragons in this class are generally feared more so than the other dragon classes. A Changewing appears to be the symbol of the Mystery Class.

Changewing T Level 5
Mystery Class VyDqqOt
This dragon has the ability to change skin color and blend with its environment, it takes a very keen eye to spot one, they also display mimicking behavior and whatever they see, they love to copy.

The Changewing has large wings on its back, horns on its face and an antennae-like appendage on top of each of its eyes. This gives the Changewing a unique appearance.

The Changewing's most noticeable attribute is the ability to change the colors of its scales and wings to that of its surroundings, creating an invisible-like effect. Unlike most other dragons, the Changewing can launch concentrated streams of acid at victims.

This acid can burn through most, if not all, materials in seconds. The Changewing's skin is vulnerable to attack, as it is softer due to its color-changing properties.

Changewings nest in large, tall forest in packs. They group together for common goals, or in other words, they are team players, and will stop at almost nothing to remain in possession of their eggs. Also, Changewings are very curious creatures, and like to mimic everything that they see.

A Changewing's egg has gem-like qualities and are green in base, but its aura glows in multiple colors. Some vikings will mistake these for "Stones of Good Fortune".

Changewings are known to be very cooperative and work together to accomplish their goals. Multiple Changewings help one another acquire one of their eggs, and do not rest or leave until all of their eggs have been found.

Boneknapper T Level 5
Mystery Class Kp4JFZd
The Boneknapper is a species of dragon thought to be almost mythical by Vikings due to its rare nature. As its name may suggest, the Boneknapper spends its time scouring the land for pieces of bones in order to create the perfect armor for its body.

Sometimes, this bone armor can be essential for the dragon to perform basic actions, such as roaring. The Boneknapper will often go to extreme lengths to find the bones it seeks, hunting down the fragments for years. However, the dragon does have a docile side to its nature as well, as with most dragons around Berk.

A member of the Mystery-class, Boneknappers are built in a similar birdlike manner like the Deadly Nadder, albeit much larger. Their natural coloration seems to be a dull olive-green, though it can be hard to see under their armor of bones.

Unlike most dragons, which have hard scales to protect themselves from enemies, Boneknapper scales are thin and soft. To counter this weakness, Boneknappers cover themselves in the bones and horns of dead dragons and other animals.

Smothering Smokebreath T Level 4
Mystery Class WW6BDYg
The Smothering Smokebreath is a species of dragon that is only slightly bigger than the Terrible Terror. The Smothering Smokebreath is about the same size as a Terrible Terror, perhaps a little bit bigger, and is entirely gray.  Its mouth is nearly as wide as its body, and it has no neck.  It has short, stubby legs and a wingspan about equivalent to twice its body length.  Its tail is long, thin and very spiky.  It is the first species of dragon where all known members share identical or nearly-identical colors and markings.

This Dragon can create a veil of smoke to hide itself from enemies or victims. Due to this ability, it was thought to be some sort of a "Fog Monster" and became legendary. It is classified as a Mystery class dragon. Although it usually breathes smoke, it can breathe a rather hot fire, since it is able to meld metals in a matter of instants. A large swarm can appear as a odd looking smoke-cloud. The smoke is pumped out from their skin.

Smothering Smokebreaths have the peculiarity of collecting treasure and 'shiny things' to meld them together in their nests in order to defend themselves from other dragons. They often go to extreme lengths to collect treasure, as shown when they all formed a smoke cloud and chased the riders for their metallic things. Another one of their traits depicted in the Book of Dragons is that they are very territorial. A group of them lives in caves on an island called "Breakneck Bog" (which is the thumb of five islands that look like a hand).

These creatures hunt in complete stealth. Concealed by their smoke, they surround their prey and close in until it can't see anything anymore, then they attack.

Flightmare T Level 5
Mystery Class S7R3G3p
The Flightmare is a medium-sized dragon that has a very ghost-like appearance. Its body is covered in small spots that almost resembles the night sky. It slightly resembles a mix between a Skrill, a Night Fury and a Fireworm, with glowing scales. It appears to get a brighter glowing, ghost-like appearance from the glowing blue algae it eats.

From what has been seen, the Flightmare is a very aggressive and territorial dragon, being very protective of it's territory and food sources. Seeing how Flightmares are build for speed and defense, they usually avoid fights with bigger and stronger dragons. Flightmares have been shown to be quite determined.

The Flightmare's body glows by eating algae that shines along with the Northern Lights. It can strike with a mist that paralyzes its prey to give itself enough time to return and finish it. Flightmares have shown to be quite fast and agile.

Sweet Death T Level 4
Mystery Class Anz9uGR
This deceptive Mystery Class ambusher buries itself and uses its super sweet-scented tongue to lure its prey. If you have a sweet tooth, BEWARE!

Hideous Zippleback T Level 2
Mystery Class ZuMr9Ek
The Hideous Zippleback is a large, two-headed dragon. It is sly and surprising, but certain noises can confuse it and cause it to entangle its heads.

The dragon has two personalities and two minds, one in each head, and one often argues with the other head Zippleback training
The Hideous Zippleback in the training arenaover what to do. This dragon reminds some vikings of bickering siblings when they aren't running away from it.
However, its two heads also give it a deadly weapon that is unique from any other dragon species. The head on the right side breathes a green, flammable gas while the left head uses an electrical spark in its mouth to ignite the gas, creating lethal explosions.

By itself, the gas can make a human disorientated if inhaled. The Hideous Zippleback's spine has many bright red lobes that run down it. Occasionally the Zippleback will use these to hold its necks together, making it less intimidating. They have serrated fangs which they use to inject venom for predigestion. Its top teeth are much sharper and are all the same size, while its bottom teeth are very long and stick up above its jaw line.

The Hideous Zippleback has two long serpentine heads with two yellow eyes, two straight horns, a nose horn & a mouth of sharp fangs. The left head has longer fangs on the bottom jaw. The right head has larger teeth near the the back of the bottom jaw. The long necks have curved spikes & has a yellowish, greenish skin. It can also be other colors as well.  It's body is chubby, but has two small wings for in case, flying. It's arms & legs has four sliver claws for walking or for attack. The Zippleback has two long serpentine tails for flying or for attack.

Snaptrapper T Level 4
Mystery Class K4rhtwI
The Snaptrapper is a dragon that has four heads, each with three jaws. Their tail is forked like the Zippleback's and look and they look somewhat like the latter as well. The jaws open up in 3 different ways which resembles a flower blooming, and the spikes on their neck, body, and tail look similar to leaves. All four heads of the Snaptrapper has three tongues. Their tongues resembles the anther and the pollen so that Snaptrapper could be mistaken as a flower.
